Columbus -- The six suspended players involved in the Ohio State tattoo scandal will deliver a prepared statement at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center at 3:30 p.m. today, according to a release from Ohio State University.
The release says the six -- quarterback Terrelle Pryor, All-Big Ten running back Dan Herron, All-Big Ten left tackle Mike Adams, second-leading receiver DeVier Posey, backup defensive end Solomon Thomas and backup linebacker Jordan Whiting -- will not answer questions at the press conference, the school said.
Pryor, Herror, Adams, Posey and Thomas were suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season by the NCAA for selling memorabilia including Big Ten championship rings, Gold Pants trinkets for beating Michigan and Pryor’s 2009 Fiesta Bowl Sportsmanship Trophy, to the owner of a Columbus tattoo parlor.
Whiting, who received discounted tattoos, was suspended for one game.
