"I never thought I would miss Peralta's defense. Are the Indians brass going to just keep running Marte, Nix, and Vallbuena out there the rest of the season at third base? Seems like that's going to be hard on the pitching staff. It boggles the mind to think The Tribe doesn't have one infielder in the whole system that can play third base at even a mediocre level."

As the classic Cinderella song goes, you don't know what you got until it's gone. That's what some Indians fans are thinking about former third baseman Jhonny Peralta after the Tribe committed five errors - three at third base - in a 7-3 win over the Royals last night. It's hard to believe after watching him all those years, but Peralta is actually second in the majors in fielding percentage this season.

"I personally would like the Indians to sign a Vet like Mike Lowell to man the hot corner next season. He may be on the downside, bu like Scott Rolen he can still hit with the best of them and would provide a nice veteran presence in the clubhouse."
