Going to a team of superstars could mean the end of MVP awards for LeBron James.

Cleveland, Ohio -- For the past couple of years, LeBron James has flat-out owned the NBA Most Valuable Player Award. But that was as THE star on a pretty good team, the guy who got all the press, all the limelight.

That's changed, now that he's taken his talents to South Beach. And if espn.com is correct, he won't have to worry about adding to his trophy case to accommodate another MVP Award.

According to a panel of voters if sportswriters and columnists assembled by the sports conglomerate, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant is the odds-on favorite to walk away with the trophy next year. Forty-one of the 93 votes went Durant's way.

James isn't even tabbed to finish second. That would be the Lakers' Kobe Bryant, with 23 votes.

The Chosen One was the one chosen by only 15 of the experts, followed by his next teammate he'll quit on, Dwyane Wade, with eight. Dwight Howard finished with four.

Portland's Greg Oden, who to our recollection hasn't played often enough to need a shower since leaving Ohio State after his freshman year in 2006, received one vote, as did Chicago guard Derrick Rose.

But that's what the "experts" think. What do the folks who fork over the green to see these guys play say?
